General Music
Music class is scheduled for all classes through grade 4. The younger students learn about rhythm and movement. They learn about music from other countries and cultures. The beginning of music notation progresses as the students get older. The 3rd and 4th grade students learn recorder and study about all the instruments of the band and orchestra.
Grades 5 and 6 can choose to be in general music class. They continue to learn about different styles of music. Ukeleles and guitars are also studied during music class.
Grades 7 and 8 can select music class as an elective. Guitar and piano are 2 of the options that are offered.
