Our Kindergarten program is a planned part of the total educational program at Incarnation Catholic School. This program provides successful experiences based upon each child’s stage of development. In our nurturing environment, the foundation is laid for future social and academic skills. Incarnation School offers an all-day Kindergarten program. Children must be five by September 30th of the registration year.
Curriculum
Religion
Our Religion curriculum focuses on Bible stories, literature, and prayer activities to expand children’s knowledge and understanding of their faith. Religion is incorporated daily throughout the curriculum.
Language Arts
Our Language Arts curriculum is taught through principles rooted in the Science of Reading. The children will participate in language activities which include phonics, letter and word recognition, literature, and reading groups. Enrichment activities evolve from many favorite books and themes.
Math
Our Math curriculum explores concepts such as patterns, graphs, number sense, shapes, measurement, sorting and classifying, addition, and subtraction. These skills are taught through hands-on activities, whole group games, small group exploration, and independent work.
Social Studies/Science/Health
Our Kindergarten program uses hands on learning to explore many themes including maps, presidents, weather, plants, shadows and light, dental health, and life cycle of a butterfly.
